Advanced Base Station Settings

This section explains how to make advanced
settings for using the NetAV function.
Set the port of the Base Station when the NetAV
function is to be used.
1 If there are multiple Base Stations and 5021 is
already being used, change the port number of
the NetAV server.
You can specify port numbers in the range
5021 to 5999.
At the time of purchase this item is set to 5021.
2 Click this to save the changes.
Setting a Router Incompatible with
the UPnP Function
When port forwarding needs to be set on the router,
follow the procedure below to set the Base Station’s
IP address.
z Tip
The IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway used
in the procedure below are only examples. Before you
configure these settings, check the IP address settings
of the router.

Set [IP Address Settings] to [Manual] in the
[Internet Connection] frame and then enter
the following information (1 page 38).
IP Address: 192.168.0.64

Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1

Example when the IP address of the router
is 192.168.0.1. If the IP address of the
router is 192.168.1.1, enter 192.168.1.64
for the IP address. If you are using multiple
Base Stations, set a different setting for
each Base Station, such as 64 and 65.

Example when the IP address of the router
is 192.168.0.1. If the IP address of the
router is 192.168.1.1, enter 192.168.1.1
for the default gateway.

Set [Manual] for [DNS Configuration] and
enter the following information.
DNS1: 192.168.0.1

DNS2: It is OK to leave the field blank.

Example when the IP address of the router
is 192.168.0.1. If the IP address of the
router is 192.168.1.1, enter 192.168.1.1
for the DNS1.

Click [Set].

Set port forwarding on the router.
Enter the Port Number that you set while
making NetAV Settings.

(1 page 17 to 19).
