whoaredeaf,hardofhearing,orwhohavespeechorlanguagedisabilitiestocommunicateby
telephone.

YourphoneiscompatiblewithselectTTYdevices.PleasecheckwiththemanufacturerofyourTTY
devicetoensurethatitiscompatiblewithdigitalcellphones.YourphoneandTTYdevicewill
connectviaaspecialcablethatplugsintoyourphone’sheadsetjack.Ifthiscablewasnotprovided
withyourTTYdevice,contactyourTTYdevicemanufacturertopurchasetheconnectorcable.
Note:Ifyouneedtochargeyourphoneatthesametime,makesuretofirstpluginyourTTYdevice
sothatyourphonecanproperlyconnecttoit.Thenpluginthecharger.
Warning:9-1-1EmergencyCalling:
ItisrecommendedthatTTYusersmakeemergencycallsbyothermeans,including
TelecommunicationsRelayServices(TRS),analogcellular,andlandlinecommunications.Wireless
TTYcallsto9-1-1maybecorruptedwhenreceivedbypublicsafetyansweringpoints(PSAPs),
renderingsomecommunicationsunintelligible.Theproblemencounteredappearsrelatedto
softwareusedbyPSAPs.ThismatterhasbeenbroughttotheattentionoftheFCC,andthe
wirelessindustryandthePSAPcommunityarecurrentlyworkingtoresolvethis.
