Dialing Options
When you enter numbers in standby mode, you will see a
variety of dialing options displayed on the phone’s screen.

Call dials the displayed phone number.
ⅷ
Contacts Match allows you to find Contacts entries that
match the displayed number.(When more than three
numbers are entered, this option is displayed.)

Send Message allowsyou to send a text message or picture
mail to the number being dialed.

Save allows you to enter a seven- or ten-digit number
(phone number and area code) and save the phone
number in your Contacts. (See “Saving a Phone Number”
on page32.)

Find allowsyou to enter a digit or string of digits to display
Contacts entries that contain the entered numbers.

Hard Pause allows you to enter a hard pause. (See “Dialing
and Saving Phone Numbers With Pauses”on page 33.)

2-sec Pause allows you to enter a two-second pause.

Tip
To speed dial a phone number from standby mode, press
and hold the speed dial number. If the speed dial number is
two digits, enter the first digit, and then press and hold the
second digit. (For information on setting up speed dial
numbers, see “Assigning Speed Dial Numbers”on page 83.)
(This feature will not work when you are roaming off the
Sprint National Network; when roaming you must dial
using eleven digits [1 + the area code + the seven-digit
phone number.])
