z For details about how to enable the voice to be processed through the
base unit after you answer a video call, see "Switching
Cordless-Handset Speaking Mode to Hands-free Mode" in "Turning
On/Off the Hands-free Function During a Call" on page 24.
z After you answer a video call, if you do not switch the voice processing
to the base unit, the call will be hung up once you put down the handset.
Adjusting the Volume of the Speaker During a Call
During a call, you can adjust the volume of the speaker by either pressing on the
right-side panel of the base unit or tapping Vol+ or Vol- on the menu bar for call-related
operations. Then, the touchscreen of the base unit displays the effect of the volume
adjustment.
Turning On/Off the Hands-free Function During a Call
During a call, you can tap Handsfree to turn on or off the hands-free function.
Switching Between Handset Speaking and Hands-free Modes for the
MC851
When you are in a call using the handset, you can tap Handsfree, and then put down the
handset to turn on the microphone and the speaker. The media phone is then in
hands-free mode. The icon
then appears on the screen.
When the media phone is in hands-free mode, you can pick the handset to speak
through the handset. The icon
then appears on the screen.
Switching Cordless-Handset Speaking Mode to Hands-free Mode
During a call, you can tap Cordless-Handset icon, such as , to switch to the
hands-free mode. The icon
then appears on the screen.
