Voice mailbox
8 Voice mailbox
Warning! Do not switch on the
phone when wireless phone use
is prohibited or when it may
cause interference or danger.
Voice mail is a feature that enables those
who call you to leave a voice message, in
the event you are unable to answer your
phone. Using your phone in conjunction
with your service provider’s voice mail
system, you can retrieve your messages
at any time.
Note: Check with your local
service provider to subscribe to
and use this feature.
STORE YOUR VOICE
MAILBOX NUMBER
Before you can retrieve any voice
messages, you need to store your voice
mailbox number in your phone:
1 Press Menu 01-2-3 (Messages >
Voice messages > Voice mailbox
number).
2 Enter your voice mailbox phone
number, then press OK.
Your voice mailbox number can be up
to 32 digits long.
Note: If your phone number
changes, you may need to
reenter your voice mailbox
number.
Tip: You can store your voice
mailbox password and/or PIN
number as a part of your voice
mailbox number. For more
information, please see “Save
touch tones as a phone book
entry” on page 61.
SET GREETINGS
Voice greetings may vary in different
wireless systems. If you need information
about how to record your greeting,
contact your service provider.
LISTEN TO YOUR VOICE
MESSAGES
Note: The way you retrieve your
voice messages varies, depending
on your service provider. Call
your service provider if you have
any questions.
LISTEN TO MESSAGES WHEN
NOTIFIED
If your phone plays an alert tone and
New voice message is displayed, press
Listen and follow the prompts. If you’d
rather listen to your messages later, press
Exit.
