Show captured img.—Select Yes if you want to see the
captured image after it is taken, or No if you want to
continue taking pictures immediately.
Memory in use—Select where to store your images.
Viewfinder
Viewfinder shows the following:
The Memory in use indicator (1) shows where the images
are currently stored: in device memory or in hard drive
.
The images counter (2) on top of the viewfinder shows an
estimate of how many images, depending on the selected
image quality, can fit in the remaining memory of your
device.
—The zoom indicator
(3) shows the zoom
level. Move the joystick
up and down to zoom in
and zoom out.
—The Night mode
indicator (4) shows that the
camera has been optimized
for low-light photography.
—The Sequence mode indicator (5) shows that the
camera is in sequence mode.
—The self-timer indicator (6) shows that the self-timer
is activated. See ‘You in the picture—self-timer’, p. 40.
Tips on taking good photographs
Picture quality
Use the appropriate picture quality. The camera has
three picture quality modes (Basic, Normal, and High).
Use the High setting to make sure that the camera
produces the best picture quality available. Note however,
that better picture quality requires more storage space.
For MMS and e-mail attachments it may be necessary to
use Normal, or Basic setting. You can define the quality in
Options > Settings.
Background
Use a simple background. For portraits and other pictures
with people, avoid having your subject in front of a
cluttered, complex background that may distract
attention from the subject. Move the camera, or the
subject, when these conditions cannot be met. Move the
camera closer to the object to take clearer portraits.
