the device, and data stored on the incompatible card may be corrupted.
Formatting a memory card
Tip! To rename a
memory card, go to
Memory card and select
Options Memory card
name.
Important: When a memory card is formatted, all data on the card is permanently
lost.
Some memory cards are supplied pre-formatted and others require formatting. Consult
your retailer to find out if you must format the memory card before you can use it.
Select Options Format mem. card. Select Yes to confirm. When formatting is
complete, key in a name for the memory card and press OK.
Backing up and restoring information on a memory card
To backup information from your game deck’s memory to a memory card, select
Options Backup device mem..
To restore information from the memory card to the game deck’s memory, select
Options Restore from card.
Locking the memory card
You can set a password to protect your memory card against unauthorised use.
The password is stored in your game deck and you do not have to enter it again while you
are using the memory card on the same game deck. If you want to use the memory card
on another game deck, you will be asked for the password.
Select Options Set password, Change password, or Remove password. For every
option you will be asked to enter and confirm your password (max. 8 characters).
Note: Once the password is removed, the memory card is unlocked and can be used
on another game deck without a password.
