Advanced
The menus described in this section feature advanced
settings that may have been pre-configured, so you
shouldn’t have to change any of them.
If the fields of these menus are empty, or if you encoun-
ter connection problems, contact your ISP.
Port POP3
: allows you to enter the POP3 port number,
which is used to receive e-mails.
Port SMTP
: allows you to enter the SMTP port
number, which is used to send e-mails.
DNS address
: allows you to enter the DNS address of
the external data network you want to connect to.
SMPT authenticat.
: allows you to activate/deactivate the
authentication process with the SMTP server.
In most European countries, this menu should be set to
Off
: your e-mails will NOT be sent if set to
On
. Contact
your provider for complete information.
Write and send an e-mail
The
Send mail
menu allows you to send
e-mails to one or several recipients at a
time, including with an attachment such
as a jpeg picture. Once received, your messages can be
forwarded and the attachments visualised with the ap-
propriate software.
To one or several recipients
1.
Press

depending on the one you wish to use.
Select
Send mail
and press

Add addressee
and press

to access the list.
If you select the phonebook «On SIM card», you will
not be able to access any e-mail address, but an edit
window will allow you to enter one. See “Phonebook”
page 27 for information on phonebook selection.

Select a name in the list and press

to add it
to your mailing list or press
c
to cancel and go
back to the previous sub-menu.

Back to the
Addressees
list, press

to
Change
the e-mail address or to
Remove
it from the list,
or select
Add addressee

to access the
phonebook again and add new names to the mail-
ing list.

Repeat steps 2 to 4 to add as many recipients as
required.

Validate list

subject of your e-mail (you can leave this field
empty) and press
