The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol on this electric or electronic equipment,
or on its packaging, indicates that, at the end of its life, it must not be disposed
of as unsorted household waste. Instead it must be separately collected.
As a consumer you must, therefore, use the specific collection schemes and,
in particular, the municipal collection schemes provided for waste electrical
and electronic equipment.
The separate collection and appropriate treatment of the equipment at the time
of disposal helps to conserve natural resources and to ensure that it is
recycled in a manner that protects human health and the environment from
materials, components and substances that can be dangerous to the
environment and harmful to human health.
Furthermore, the separate collection and appropriate treatment of the
equipment, at the time of disposal, facilitates its possible reuse or possible
materials recovery.
