7. Contacts
You can save names and phone numbers in the phone’s memory and in the
SIM card’s memory. Contacts use shared memory.
The phone’s memory may save up to 500 names with numbers and text notes
about each name. You can also save an image (photos or downloaded image)
for all the contacts. The number of names that can be saved depends on the
length of the names, and the number and length of the phone numbers and
text items.
The phone supports SIM cards that can save up to 100 (up to 250 names for
some network operators’ SIM card) names and phone numbers. Names and
numbers saved in the SIM card’s memory.
There are 6 sub-menus under Contacts: Search, Add new, Group settings,
Speed dial, Memory status and My Number.
7.1 Search
Press Ok key (Menu) and select Contacts and Search, or to quickly find
a contact name, press Right soft key in idle mode.
To search for a contact number, press OK key to decide you want to
search by name or by position. After decided, key in the first characters of the
name you are searching for in the pop-up window.
Press the Scroll up key / Scroll down key to scroll through the names
in the list, and Shift left key /Shift right key to move the cursor in the
pop-up window.
Scroll to the contact name you want, and press Left soft key (Options)
(left soft key) to view how you want to react to the selected contact. The
options include send a message, edit the selected contact’s information, call
the contact, copy the contact’s information to the phone, delete its information,
set up a specific ring tone for the contact, and select a photo for it.
