Add To Contacts
— Save the recipient’s number or Email address
as a Contacts list entry.
5. Once you’re finished entering your message, press
SEND
().
Receive Text Messages
When you receive a message in standby mode, the ringer sounds
(unless turned off) and
New Message
appears in the display along
with the closed envelope icon ( ). The date and time of the
message also appear in the display along with the following
options:
View Now
— Opens the message, where you have the option to
Forward, Reply With Copy, Save Quick Text, Lock, Add To Contacts,
Message Info, or Extract.
View Later
— Saves the message to your Inbox, where you can view
it later, then returns your phone to standby mode.
Select your choice.
Receive Messages While in a Call
When you receive a message while in a call, New Message
appears in the display along with the closed envelope icon ( ).
The date and time of the message also appear in the display
along with the following options:
View Now
— Opens the message, where you have the option to
Forward, Reply With Copy, Save Quick Text, Lock, Add To Contacts,
Message Info, or Extract.
View Later
— Saves the message to your Inbox, where you can view
it later, and returns your phone to call mode.
Select the desired option.
View a Text Message Now
1. After you select the
View Now
option, the new text
message appears in the display.
2. While viewing your message press the
Options
soft key.
The following options appear in the display:
•Forward
— Send a copy of this message to another recipient.
Reply With Copy
— Compose and send a reply message to the
originator of the received message and include a copy of the
original message.
•Save Quick Text
— Save the text in this message as a new Quick
Text.
•Lock
/
Unlock
— Block/permit erasure of the highlighted
message.
Add To Contacts
— Save the sender’s number to your Contacts.
•Message Info
— Shows message delivery status, addressee, size,
and so on.
•Extract
— Lets you call the originator of the highlighted message.
