Setting Abbreviated Dialing
Abbreviated Dialing is another form of Speed Dialing. If the last
four digits you enter do not match any stored phone book entry,
the digits are automatically prepended with the digits specified
using the following steps. See “Four-Digit Dialing” on page 26.
To activate this feature:
1. Press to access the main menu.
2. Highlight Settings and press .
3. Highlight Others and press .
4. Highlight Abbrev. Dial and press .
5. Highlight Enable and press .
6. Enter a six-digit number and press or (left
softkey).

To deactivate this feature, highlight Disable during step 5.
Tip:If you enter less than 6 digits, the display shows a warning message.
Headset Mode
To set Headset mode:
1. Press to access the main menu.
2. Highlight Settings and press .
3. Highlight Others and press .
4. Highlight Headset Mode and press .
5. Select On and press .

Setting Call Answer
This feature enables you to answer incoming calls by opening
the clamshell so that you don’t have to press .
To activate this feature:
1. Press to access the main menu.
2. Highlight Settings and press .
3. Highlight Others and press .
4. Highlight Call Answer and press .
5. Select Open Flip and press .

To answer the call by pressing , select TALK Key
during step 5.
Setting Any Key Answer
This feature allows you to answer incoming calls by pressing any
key (except , , , Side Camera key, Volume keys
and Navigation key).
To activate this feature:
1. Press to access the main menu.
2. Highlight Settings and press .
3. Highlight Others and press .
4. Highlight Any Key Answer and press .
5. Select On and press .
