Keyguard settings
When the keypad is locked, appears at the top of the display.
Note: When Keyguard is on, calls may be possible to the emergency number programmed into your phone
(e.g. 112 or other official emergency number). Key in the emergency number and press . The
number is displayed only after you have keyed in its last digit.
Locking the keypad automatically
You can set the keypad of your phone to lock automatically after a preset time delay. You can set the
delay time from 10 seconds up to 59 minutes 59 seconds and when the time is up, the keypad locks
automatically preventing accidental keypresses.
1. Press Menu, select Settings, and then Keyguard settings.
2. Select Automatic keyguard.
3. When you select On, the phone displays Set delay:. Key in the time.
Note that the keypad locks automatically if your phone is in the standby mode and the preset time
delay expires.
Setting the keyguard code on
You can also protect the keyguard with the keyguard code. The keyguard code is the same as your five-
digit security code.
Before setting the keyguard code to On make sure that the PIN code request is also set on.
1. Press Menu, select Settings, and Keyguard settings.
2. Select Keyguard code and press OK.
3. At Security code: key in your security code and press OK. See also Change of access codes on page
72.
