You can set the keypad to lock automatically after a certain length of
time. See Automatic keyguard on page 59

When the Keyguard is on, calls still may be possible to the official
emergency number programmed into your phone. Enter the emergency
number and press .
WRITING TEXT
You can enter text for messages or notes using predictive or traditional
text input.
Predictive text input
In predictive text input, you can key in characters by pressing a letter key
once for each character. This method uses a dictionary built into the
phone.
SETTING PREDICTIVE TEXT INPUT ON OR OFF
When writing text, press Options and select Predictive text.
To set predictive text input on, select the language you want from the
dictionary list. Predictive text input is only available for the languages
on the list.
To revert to traditional text input, select Prediction off.
Tip: To quickly set predictive text input on or off when writing text,
press twice, or press and hold Options.
USING PREDICTIVE TEXT INPUT
To use this input method, check that is shown at the top of the
display.
1 Write a word by using the keys to . Press each key only
once for one letter. The word may change after each keypress.
To write Nokia, press .
To move the cursor to the left, right, down or up, press , ,
or .
To delete the character to the left of the cursor, press Clear. Press
and hold Clear to delete several characters.
To change the character case, press repeatedly and check
the indicator, for example Abc, at the top of the display.
