Messaging Settings
Setting Message Notification Display
You can set your phone to display an icon and message
notification or just display an icon notification when you receive
a text message, picture message, voicemail, or Web Alert.
1. Select > Settings > Messaging > Notification.
2. SelectMsgs and Icon or Icon Only.
Tip: To access Messaging settings menu, you can also select >
Messaging > Settings.
Note: Receiving a message may interrupt certain operations that you
may be engaged in (e.g. adjusting volume while receiving a message).
If you would like to avoid these interruptions, select
Icon Only during
step 2 above.
Setting Push Options
Turning this feature on allows you to connect to a Web Alerts
page automatically (if possible) when you receive a Web Alert.
See page 98 for Web Alerts.
1. Select > Settings > Messaging > Push Options.
2. SelectYes or No.
Editing Canned Messages
Your phone can store canned messages for use with text
messaging. You can edit your phone’s default canned messages
through the Settings menu.
To edit a canned message:
1. Select > Settings > Messaging > Canned Msgs.(The list of
canned messages is displayed.)
2. Select the message you want to edit and press (right
softkey) > Edit.
3. Use your keypad to edit the message and press to save your
changes.
Note: To reset all messages, press (right softkey) >
Reset All Msgs > Yes after step 1 above.
