Messaging
Receiving text messages
When you receive a text message, a message alert
sounds and the message
New message received.
Read now?
is displayed.
Press Yes
to read the text message, and
No if
you want to read the message later.
While reading the text message you can, for
example, go to a Web address found in the text
message, save a picture found in the text me
ssage
or listen to a sound inserted in the text message.
When you have read the text message, press
More
to view a list of options. Press to close the
text message.
Calling a number in a text message
You can call a phone number that appears in a text
message.
To call a number in a text message
Select the phone number
} Call
.
Saving received text messages
Received text messages are saved in the phone
memory. When the phone memory is full, you must
delete messages or move them to the SIM card to be
able to receive new messages. Messages that you have
saved on the SIM card remain there until you delete
them.
To save an item from a text message
When the phone number, Web address, picture,
animation or melody is highlighted, press More
} Save.
Long messages
The number of characters that a text message can
contain depends on the language you are writing in.
You can send a longer message by linking two or
more messages. Please note that you are charged
for each of the messages linked in a ling m
essage.
You may not receive all parts of a long message at
the same time.

Templates
If you have one or more messages that you send
often, you can save these as templates. There are
predefined templates in your phone, but you can
also create your own templates.
Check with your service provider for the maximum
number of messages that can linked.
