Setting Up Your Phone
1. Install the battery.
Ⅲ Remove the battery from its packaging.
Ⅲ Insert the battery into the opening in the back of
the phone, making sure the connectors align (see
step 1, in the following illustration). Gently press
down to secure the battery (see step 2, in the
following illustration).
Ⅲ Position the battery cover over the battery
compartment and slide it downward (see step 3,
in the following illustration) until you hear a click.
2. Press for 3 seconds to turn the phone on.
Ⅲ If your phone is activated, it will turn on, search for
Sprint service, and enter standby mode.
Ⅲ If your phone is not yet activated, see “Activating
Your Phone” on page 3 for more information.
3. Make your first call.
Ⅲ Use your keypad to enter a phone number.
