7.5.3 Configure VLAN Port Setting
To configure the VLAN settings on a port, click the VLAN Port Setting link in the VLAN
Status screen. Refer to Section 7.1 on page 87 for background information.

The following table describes the labels in this screen.
Cancel Click Cancel to reset the fields.
Clear Click Clear to start configuring the screen again.
VID This field displays the ID number of the VLAN group. Click the number to edit the
VLAN settings.
Active This field indicates whether the VLAN settings are enabled (Yes) or disabled (No).
Name This field displays the descriptive name for this VLAN group.
Delete Click Delete to remove the selected entry from the summary table.
Cancel Click Cancel to clear the Delete check boxes.

GVRP GVRP (GARP VLAN Registration Protocol) is a registration protocol that defines a
way for switches to register necessary VLAN members on ports across the
network.
Select this check box to permit VLAN groups beyond the local switch.
Port Isolation Port Isolation allows each port to communicate only with the CPU management
port and the uplink ports but not communicate with each other. This option is the
most limiting but also the most secure.
Port This field displays the port number.
Ingress Check Select this check box to discard incoming frames for VLANs that do not have this
port as a member.
Clear this check box to disable ingress filtering.
PVID Enter a number between 1and 4094 as the port VLAN ID.
