Answering Calls
1. Make sure your phone is on. (If your phone is off, incoming calls
go to voicemail.)
2. When a call comes in, answer the call by pressing .
Depending on your settings, your PCS Phone notifies you of
incoming calls in the following ways:
ⅷ
The phone rings or vibrates.
ⅷ
The LED flashes.
ⅷ
The backlight illuminates.
ⅷ
The screen displays an incoming call message.
ⅷ
If available, the phone number of the caller is displayed.
ⅷ
If the phone number is in your internal Phone Book, the
Phone Book entry’s name is displayed.
The following options are also displayed. To select an option, press
the corresponding :
ᮣ Mute to mute the phone’s microphone. The caller cannot hear
you or any sound from your side, while you can still hear his or
her voice.
ᮣ Silent to prevent the other end from hearing tones if any key is
pressed during a call.
ᮣ Send My Phone # to automatically transmit your phone number to a
pager during a call without manually entering the number.
Answering a Roam Call With Call Guard Enabled
To answer a call when you are roaming and Call Guard is enabled:

Select Answer to answer the call. (See “Call Guard”on page 48
for additional information.)
Note: If your phone is off, incoming calls go to voicemail.
Ending a Call
To disconnect a call when you are finished:
