How to Troubleshoot Connection Problems
Symptom: Remote Module cannot connect to Switch Card
Action: In the event that the remote module cannot establish a connection to
the Switch Card, it is very important to note the error message displayed on
the remote phone.

Connect Error
No Dialtone
The remote module
cannot detect a dialtone
on the analog line at the
remote location
Check to ensure that
RJ-11 connector is
properly seated in the
“Telco Line” port of the
Remote Module 1101.
Plug the phone cable
into a standard analog
phone to determine if
you are receiving
dialtone.
