To connect to the server and receive
configuration settings
for your device, select
Options

To view the configuration log of the selected profile, select
Options >
View log.

You can install two types of ap
plications and software on your
device:
• Applications and software specifically intended for y
our
device or compatible with
the Symbian operating system.
These software inst
allation files have the extension .sis
or .sisx.

Java ME™ applications comp
atible with the Symbian
operating system. The Java ap
plication installation file
extensions are .jad or .jar.
Installation files may be transf
erred to your device from a
compatible computer, downloaded during browsi
ng, or sent
to you in a multimedia message, as an e-mail attachmen
t, or
with Bluetooth.
During the installation, the device checks the integrity of t
he
package to be installed. The
device shows information about
the checks being carried out, and you are given options
to
continue or cancel the installation.
If you install applic
ations that require a network connection,
note that the power consumption of your device m
ay
increase when you us
e these applications.
