Creating and Sending Messages - Landscape Mode
1. Open your u740 in Landscape mode.
2. Press the left soft key Message.
3. Press 1 () New Message.
4. Press the number associated with the message type you would like to
create and send:
• 1 ( ) TXT Message
• 2 ( ) Picture Message
• 3 ( ) Video Message
• 4 () Sketch Message
• 5 ( ) Postcard Message
• 6 () Email Message

Enter the phone number or email address of the recipient. At any point
while entering your recipient(s) phone number or email address, press the
123 or Add soft keys to display additional options.
6. Press or to highlight the Text: field.
7. Use the QWERTY keyboard and special function keys to create your
message.
• Press the Backspace key ( ) to delete characters behind the blinking cursor.
• Press and hold keys to enter the symbols or numbers located on the top of the
key.
• For example to enter a period (.), press and hold .
• Press to lock/unlock text entry mode 123.
