Assign message alert to contacts
To assign a message alert ringtone:
1. Select Menu > Contacts > View all.
2. From the contacts list, select a contact.
3. At the contact’s detail screen, highlight the
contact name.
4. Select
Options > Msg alert > Assign alert.
5. Select a ringtone from the list. (Scroll
through the list to hear the different
ringtones.)
Assign picture to contacts
To assign a picture:
1. Select Menu > Contacts > View all.
2. From the contacts list, select a contact.
3. At the contact’s detail screen, highlight the
contact name.
4. Select
Options > Picture > Assign picture.
5. Scroll through the folders to select one where
to get your pictures.
6. Scroll through to select a picture to assign.
Note: With Mobile Phone Tools (MPT) for
Kyocera, you can transfer digital pictures to your

Assign number type
When you assign a number type, an icon is placed
in front of the contact number to specify the type
of number it is.
1. Select
Menu > Contacts > View all.
2. From the contacts list, select a contact.
3. At the contact’s detail screen, select
Edit.
4. Scroll down twice to highlight the number
type dropdown and press the
OK key.
5. Select
General, Work, Home, Mobile, Pager
or
Fax. The appropriate icon appears next to
the number in your phone lists.
6. Select
Save.
Using contact groups
You can assign your contacts to groups that share
the common ringtone or image. Your phone
comes with two default groups, Business and
Personal. You can also create your own groups.
Create groups
1. Select Menu > Contacts > Groups.
2. Select
New.
3. Enter a name for the group and select
Next.
4. Add or remove your desired contacts from
the list. A check mark appears next to
each selection.
5. After selecting all your desired contacts,
select
Done.
Your new group appears the next time you view
your groups.
