Time and date
To change the time, time zone, and date settings,
select Tools > Settings > General > Date and time.
When traveling to a different time zone, select Tools >
Settings > General > Date and time > Time zone and
the time zone of your location in terms of the time
difference with respect to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) or
Universal Time Coordinated (UTC). The time and date are
set according to the time zone and enable your phone to
display the correct sending time of received text or
multimedia messages. For example, GMT -5 denotes the
time zone for New York (USA), 5 hours west of Greenwich/
London (UK).
Use for India (New Delhi) GMT +5.5, for Thailand/
Indonesia/Vietnam GMT +7, for Singapore/Malaysia/
Philippines GMT +8, for Australia (Sydney) GMT +10,
and for New Zealand GMT +12.
Calculator
Press , and select Applications > Calculator.
Note: This calculator has limited accuracy and is
designed for simple calculations.
Notes
To write notes in .txt format, press , and select
Applications > Notes.
Application manager
Press , and select Applications > App. mgr.. You can
install two types of applications and software to your
device:
J2ME
TM
applications based on Java
TM
technology with
the extension .jad or .jar ( ).
Other applications and software suitable for the
Symbian operating system ( ). The installation files
have the .sis extension. Only install software
specifically designed for your Nokia N81. Software
providers will often refer to the official model number
of this product: the Nokia N81-1.
Installation files may be transferred to your device from a
compatible computer, downloaded during browsing, or
sent to you in a multimedia message, as an e-mail
attachment, or using Bluetooth connectivity. You can use
Nokia Application Installer in Nokia Nseries PC Suite to
install an application to your device.
