Changing the WAP Profiles
You can create and customize the profile settings for
connecting your phone to the network. These network settings
are required to use the WAP browser or to send MMS, or
Email messages.
Note:
Changes to the active connection should only be made
as directed by your retailer or customer service
representative. If you change the settings without first
checking with your service provider, the web browser,
MMS, and e-mail features may not work properly.
1. In Idle mode, press
Menu

Browser Settings
Browser Profiles
.
2. Highlight one of the available profiles and press
Options
View
to view the settings.
Note:
The pre-configured WAPs cannot be altered, you can
only change the settings of profiles you create.
To create a new connection profile:
1. In Idle mode, press
Menu
Web
Options
Browser Settings
Browser Profiles
.
2. Press
Options
Create
and enter the required
information.
To edit an existing profile:
1. In Idle mode, press
Menu
Browser
Options
Browser Settings
Browser Profiles
.
2. Highlight a profile in the list.
3. Press
Options
Edit
.
4. Use the Down Navigation key to highlight the field you
want to edit.
5. Use the keypad to edit the parameter you want to edit.
The fields are:
•Set Name
: The profile name.
Access name
: The access point name.
Auth type
: The type of authentication used for this WAP
connection: None, Normal, or Secure.
•User ID
: The User ID required to connect to the network.
Password
: The user password required to connect to the
network.
•Protocol
: The connection protocol used by the WAP browser:
WAP or HTTP.
