This section outlines how to select the desired text input mode
when entering characters into your phone. This section also
describes how to use the Swype keyboard to ease the text entry

There are three text input methods available:
Swype
(default): Swype™ is a text input method that allows
you to enter a word by sliding your finger or stylus from letter to
letter, lifting your finger between words.
Samsung Keypad
: an on-screen QWERTY keypad that can be
used in both portrait and landscape orientation. You can also
configure the Samsung keypad to use the QWERTY Keypad, or
a 3x4 Keypad (uses XT9 predictive text).

in both portrait and landscape orientation. Includes voice input
capability.
The on-screen QWERTY keypad works the same in both portrait
and landscape mode.
