Sending Unsolicited TAIP Messages over the Local
Connection
StandardTAIPrequiresarequestbeforeGPSreportsaresent.
ThePinPointX,however,canbeconfiguredtoallowTAIP
formattedmessagestobesentoveranyUDPPortwithout
requestcommands.Thisisusefulforthoseapplicationswhich
canlistenforTAIPmessagesbutcannotsendUDPrequest
packets.
a. SettheS53portto1000.ThelocalIPaddresswill
automaticallybeused.
b. Set*PPLATSR,LocalReportType,toF0orF1.
c. Set*PPLATS,LocalReportingTimeInterval,to5to
sendreportsevery5seconds(canbeadjustedas
circumstanceswarrant).

Streaming Messages (Local)
TheProductNamecanbeconfiguredtosendstandardTAIP
messages(sentences)inASCIIovertheserialportand/orUSB
portwithoutaPPPconnectiontothelocalcomputer.
SendthecommandATGPS1totheserialport,ATGPS2tothe
USBport,orATGPS3forbothtobegintheTAIPstream.The
examplebelowshowsthestreaminHyperTerminal
connectingdirectlytoaProductNameviathecomportand/or
USBport.Tostopthestream,witheitherterminalconnection,
use
thecommandATGPS0(thiscanbeenteredevenwhiledata
isstreaming).
Persistent Streaming
Tohavepersistentstreaming,allowingyoutostreamthedata
evenafterthemodemisreset,configure*PGPSandset
*PGPSRforTAIP .
Avoircoulerpersistant,tepermettantdecoulerlesdonnées

*PGPSet*PGPSR.
