U071 or U1562 The BATCH CONTROL FACILITY (BCF) Physical Logger received a bad return
code from DBRC. U071 is the same abend that the standard IMS Physical Logger
produces. The abend code displayed depends on the value specified for the Use
Abend Code Series (ABN) option. For more information, see the Use Abend Code
Series option in the BATCH CONTROL FACILITY Reference Manual.
System Action: This is a system error.
User Response: Refer to any DBRC messages for an indication of the nature of the
DBRC problem.
U356 APPLICATION RESTART CONTROL (AR/CTL) for VSAM encountered an
internal error before initialization of the modules that handle messages.
System Action: The job step terminates abnormally.
User Response: Ensure that a SYSUDUMP and the job log listings are available,
and contact BMC Software Product Support.
U358 APPLICATION RESTART CONTROL (AR/CTL™) for VSAM encountered an
unrecoverable error.
System Action: The job step terminates abnormally.
User Response: Ensure that a SYSUDUMP and the job log listings are available,
and contact BMC Software Product Support.
U616 BATCH CONTROL FACILITY (BCF) has determined that the log data set(s) have
become unusable during logging. This is the same as the standard IMS abend U616.
System Action: This is a system error.
User Response: Determine the reason for the log data set becoming unusable. If
you cannot correct the problem, ensure that a SYSUDUMP and the job log listings
are available and contact BMC Software Product Support.
U617 or U1563 BATCH CONTROL FACILITY (BCF) has determined that an invalid block count
was requested for a buffered log device. The abend code displayed depends on the
value specified for the Use Abend Code Series (ABN) option. For more information,
see the Use Abend Code Series option in the BATCH CONTROL FACILITY
Reference Manual.
System Action: This is a system error.
