Explanation: Module ARVRIEPR of APPLICATION RESTART CONTROL
(AR/CTL) for VSAM detected that the ARVFCTAB DD statement was not supplied
in the JCL. This DD statement is required for initialization of the ARVFCTAB
library.
System Action: Initialization of the ARVFCTAB DATA SET is not performed.
Until the data set is initialized properly, file sharing cannot be performed.
User Response: Supply the ARVFCTAB DD statement to identify the data set for
the VSAM file table. Rerun the job.
BMC93126E UNABLE TO OPEN FILE ARVFCTAB, RC = rc
Explanation: Module ARVRIEPR of APPLICATION RESTART CONTROL
(AR/CTL) for VSAM issued an open request for the ARVFCTAB DCB. The request
failed with the indicated return code (rc).
System Action: Initialization of the ARVFCTAB data set is not performed. Until
the data set is initialized properly, file sharing cannot be performed.
User Response: Make sure that the data set has the proper attributes (as described
in the Application Enhancement Solutions Installation Manual). Make sure that the
data set is in usable condition.
BMC93127E ABEND sysabend, userabend OCCURRED IN XFCSEQC EXIT
PROGRAM ARVRFCXT
Explanation: Module ARVRFCXT of APPLICATION RESTART CONTROL
(AR/CTL) for VSAM detected that an unexpected system abend and user abend
occurred during update of the AR/CTL for VSAM file table (data set ARVFCTAB).
The AR/CTL for VSAM ESTAE routine traps this abend.
System Action: AR/CTL for VSAM ESTAE routine attempts to return control to
CICS from the exit. If the ESTAE exit is driven again during this process (the abend
occurs again during the retry process), no further retries are attempted and the abend
percolates to prevent an endless loop.
User Response: Use the system error code and the associated system dump to
determine the cause of error. If the error cannot be resolved, contact BMC Software
Product Support.
