58 Using Phone Features and Managing Contacts
Add a new contact
When you open Contacts for the first time, you are presented with options on how
you can easily import your contacts into your phone.
Touch to import contacts
from your Exchange
ActiveSync account.
If you do not have an
Exchange ActiveSync
account, you will be taken
to the set up screen. For
more information about
setting up an Exchange
ActiveSync account, refer
to Chapter 5.
Touch to import
contacts stored on
your SIM card into the
phone. Refer to “To
import contacts from
the SIM card” in this
chapter for details.
Touch to create a
new contact on
the phone.
Note This screen will only appear if you do not have any contacts on the phone.
To add a new contact on the phone
1. In the Contacts tab, touch Create new contact.
Note If you have contacts already in the phone, press MENU and then touch
New contact.
2. Enter the contact’s name and other contact information such as their mobile
phone number, home phone number, or email address. Slide your finger up
or down on the screen to see more labels.
Note To change a default information label, for example Home email to Work email, touch
the information label button, and then select another label on the menu. You can also
touch Custom on the menu to create another information label that is not in the list.
