8 Using Your Phone as a Walkie-Talkie
Entering a phone number
Start at the home screen.
1. Enter a ten-digit phone number, including
area code.
2. Press the walkie-talkie button.
Selecting a contact saved in the
BREWChat Contacts list
Start at the home screen.
1. Press the walkie-talkie button.
2. Press right to highlight .
3. Press up or down to highlight the
contact name.
4. Press the walkie-talkie button.
Selecting a contact saved in the phone’s
standard Contacts directory
Start at the home screen.
1. Press down to highlight the contact name.
2. Press the walkie-talkie button.
Selecting a phone number from the
BREWChat Calls list
Start at the home screen.
1. Press the walkie-talkie button.
2. Make sure is highlighted.
3. Press up or down to highlight the phone
number or name from the list.
4. Press the walkie-talkie button to start the call.
Redialing the last BREWChat call
• Press the walkie-talkie button twice.
Adding a participant to a call
You can add a saved BREWChat contact to your call.
1. During the BREWChat call, press to select
Options → Add participant..
The Add to Call screen lists your contacts.
2. Scroll through the list and highlight the
contact you want to add to the call.
3. Press to select Add.
4.
Press the walkie-talkie button.
The new participant receives the
barge call notification.
“Group Call” appears at the top of the phone
screen for all participants.
Note: To save the group you created,
see page 13.
Calling a group or chat room
You can place a direct call to a group or chat
room in several ways:
• Select a saved group or chat room.
• Select a recent group call.
• Select individual contacts one at a time to
form a group.
