In some cases,

them also as defined.
Advanced
The menus described in this section feature advanced
settings that may have been pre-configured, so that you
shouldn’t have to change any of them.
If the fields of these menus are empty, or if you encoun-
ter connection problems, contact your ISP.
The fields of this menu are the following:

POP3 port
field allows you to enter the POP3 port
number, which is used to receive e-mails, and the
SMTP
port
field allows you to enter the SMTP port number,
which is used to send e-mails.
The
DNS address
field allows you to enter the DNS ad-
dress of the external data network you want to connect
to. The
SMPT authentication
item allows you to acti-
vate/deactivate the authentication process with the
SMTP server.
In most European countries, this menu should be set to
Off
: your e-mails will NOT be sent if set to
On
. Contact
your provider for complete information.
The
Send mail
menu allows you to send
e-mails to one or several recipients at a
time, including with an attachment
such as a jpeg image. Once received, your messages can
be forwarded and the attachments visualised with the
appropriate software.
To one or several recipients

If you select the phonebook "On SIM card", you will
not be able to access any e-mail address, but an edit
window will allow you to enter one. See “Phonebook”
page 35 for information on phonebook selection.
