Setting Side Key Guard
The side key guard feature disables the keys (Side Camera key and / )
on the side of the phone while the clamshell is closed so that your phone is
protected against accidental operation.
To activate this feature:
1. From the Standby mode, press to display the main menu.
2. Highlight Settingsand press .
3. Highlight Othersand press .
4. Highlight Side Key Guardand press .
5. Select Onand press .
“Side Key Guard” message appears on the Sub LCD when you press any
side key while the clamshell is closed.
To deactivate this feature, select Off at step 5 above.
If the clamshell is open, side keys are effective.
Setting My Shortcut
You can arrange your own shortcut menu.
1. From the Standby mode, press to display the main menu.
2. Highlight Settingsand press .
3. Highlight Othersand press .
4. Highlight My Shortcutand press .
5. Select the menu under My Shortcut and press .
6. Highlight your desired menu option and press .

Abbreviated Dialing
Abbreviated Dialing is another form of speed dialing. If the last four digits
you enter do not match any stored phone book entry, the digits are
automatically prepended with the digits specified using the following steps.
To activate this feature:
1. From the Standby mode, press to display the main menu.
2. Highlight Settingsand press .
3. Highlight Othersand press .
4. Highlight Abbrev. Dial and press .
5. Highlight Enableand press .
6. Enter a six-digit number and press or (left softkey).
If you want to deactivate this feature, highlight
Disableat the step 5 above.
Tip: If you enter less than 6 digits, the display shows a warning message.
See page 30 for using this feature.
Setting Headset Mode
To turn the Turbo Button of the Headset On or Off.
1. From the Standby mode, press to display the main menu.
2. Highlight Settingsand press .
3. Highlight Othersand press .
4. Highlight Headset Modeand press .
5. Select Onor Offand press .
