Zoom:While in the Camera mode, press or of the Navigation key
to change the magnification. (Zoom function is only available in Med
and Low picture sizes.) Med: Zoom to 1x or 4x magnification.
Low: Zoom to 1x, 4x or 16x magnification.
Camera Mode Options
From the Camera mode with the clamshell open (see “Taking a picture”
on page 161), press (right softkey) to display following options.
Options:
Flash/Flash Off: Set Flash On or Off. Select Flash and you can see on
the top of Main LCD. Select
Flash Off to set Flash Off. (Default setting is
Flash Off)
Self-timer:Take a picture by using self-timer function. See page 164
for setting.
Brightness:Set Auto or Manual on Brightness setting. 9 grades of
Brightness are prepared for Manual setting. Use or of the
Navigation key to select one of them, and press (left softkey).
(Default setting is
Auto)
White Balance: 6 settings are availale: Auto, Sunny, Cloudy,
Tungsten, Fluorescent and Manual. 9 grades of setting are prepared
for Manual setting. Use or of the Navigation key to select one of
them, and press (left softkey). (Default setting is
Auto)
Color Tone:4 settings are availale: Antique, Black & White, Negative
and Reset. (Default setting is Reset)
Quality:Lets you set the picture quality Fine or Normal. The picture
with
Finesetting needs much memory than that with Normal setting.
(Default setting is
Normal)
Shutter Sound: Select Loud, Soft or Off. If the Ringer setting set as
Silence All, Shutter Sound turns to Off. (Default setting is Loud)
Note: After taking a picture, all options except Shutter Sound return to
default setting.
Warning! Do not use Flash close to your eyes. It may cause visual
impairment.

When the clamshell is closed:
1. Press and hold Side Camera key to activate Camera mode.
2. Check your desired object with Sub LCD.
3. Press and hold Side Camera key to take a picture.
When you see your desired object with Sub LCD, the image is shown
as mirror reversed. However it will be corrected when you take a
picture. You can confirm it after the picture is saved.
While you are taking a picture, the phone is out of service. And the
backlight turns On even when your backlight setting is Off.
You can take pictures in 3 different picture size: High (640x480 pixel),
Med (320x240 pixel) or Low (160x120 pixel).
Pictures Storage on Your Phone
You can store pictures in Review mode or Picture Wallet. Captured pictures
are automatically moved to Review mode. To store in the Picture Wallet,
move pictures from the Review mode (see page 164 for moving).
All pictures are saved by Low size in the Picture Wallet.
The following chart is an indication of numbers for picture storage. The
numbers in Review mode may vary depending on Quality setting and the
subject you take. (See page 163 for the Quality setting).
Useful functions
Use following in Camera mode with the clamshell open (see “Taking a
picture” on page 161).
Review:Press (left softkey) to view the captured pictures.
You can see the count of current and captured pictures on the top of the
Main LCD.
Picture size: Press or of the Navigation key. You can see the picture
size “High”, “Med” or “Low” on the top of the Main LCD.
