Sending a Facebook message
Use the Facebook Messenger app to start private conversations with your friends on
Facebook. You can also send text or multimedia messages to a mobile phone number.
You can text anyone in your phone contacts and as well as message any friend on
Facebook.
1. From the cover feed, press and hold your profile picture, and then drag it to
.
2. Tap .
3. Do any of the following:
§ Enter the first few letters of a contact's name in the To field, and then tap
the friend in the suggested list.
§ Enter a mobile phone number, and then tap Text to: [mobile phone
number].
Standard texting and data rates apply.
Repeat this step to add more message recipients.
4. Tap the text box, and then enter your message.
5. To add an attachment, tap , and then choose an attachment type.
6. When finished, tap Send.
Creating your Favorites list
Quickly send messages by adding your friends you frequently chat with to your
Favorites list.
1. From the cover feed, press and hold your profile picture, and then drag it to .
2. Tap > Edit.
3. Enter the first few letters of a friend's name in the search field.
4. Tap the beside a friend's profile picture, and then tap Done.
