Phone/Send : The application on your Treo
smartphone that provides quick access to the most
commonly used applications on your device.
PIM (personal information manager): A genre of software
that includes applications such as Palm Desktop software,
Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes, and ACT!. PIMs generally
store contacts, schedules, tasks, and memos.
Messaging (Short Messaging Service): The service that
exchanges short text messages almost instantly between
mobile phones. These messages can usually include up to
160 characters. Treo phones can send and receive text
messages while you are on a voice call.
Username: The name associated with your Treo
smartphone that distinguishes it from other Palm
Powered
™
devices. When you first synchronize your
smartphone, you are asked to give it a username.
