Answering Calls
1. Make sure yourphone is on. (If yourphone is off,
incoming calls go to voicemail.)
2. Press or to answeran incoming call.
(Depending on yourphone’s settings, you may also
answerincoming calls by opening the phone orby
pressing any numberkey. (See “Call AnswerMode”
on page 45.)
Yourphone notifies you of incoming calls in the following
ways:

The phone rings orvibrates.
ⅷ
The indicatorlight flashes.
ⅷ
The backlight illuminates.
ⅷ
The screen displays an incoming call message.
If the incoming call is from a numberstored in your
Contacts, the entry’s name is displayed. The caller’s
phone numbermay also be displayed, if available.
When receiving a call, the following options are also
displayed by pressing
Options (right softkey).
ⅷ
Call Guard to answerthe call when you are in roaming
mode. (See “Using Call Guard” on page 57.)
ⅷ
Answer orAnswer:Speaker to answerthe call.
ⅷ
SelectAudio to switch the call to a device (if available).
ⅷ
Answeron Hold to put the call on hold.
ⅷ
Screen Call to answerthe call by using a prerecorded
announcement. (See “Setting Up Screen Call”on
page 88.)
ⅷ
Quiet Ringer to mute the ringer(if available).
ⅷ
Ignore with Text to ignore the call and send a text
message to the caller(if available).
