Using Automatic Speech Recognition
Your Sanyo SCP-7400 Phone is equipped with an Automatic Speech
Recognition (ASR) feature. This feature allows you to make calls or
use the phone’s functions by simply using your voice. All you have to
do is to talk into the phone, and the phone will recognize your voice
and complete tasks by itself. You can activate Automatic Speech
Recognition whether the phone is open or closed.
Activating Automatic Speech Recognition
To activate Automatic Speech Recognition:
From standby mode, press and hold or .
– or –
From standby mode, press .
The phone displays the Command menu and prompts you to say the
name of the command you want to use. To complete your task,
simply follow the voice prompts. You can speak the name of the
command when your phone displays the icon.
The following is a list of available ASR commands:
Contact to call an entry in your Contacts list. (See page 124 for
details.)
Dial Number to dial a phone number by speaking the number.

Call Voice Tag to find the name or phone number stored in the
Voice Tag List. (See page 126 for details.)
Find Contact to find an entry stored in your Contacts list.
(See page 125 for details.)
Digit Training to adapt the system to your voice. (See page 129 for
details.)
Phone Status to notify you of your phone number, the current
signal strength, and the battery level.
Edit Voice Tag to add, review, or erase a Voice Tag entry.

Tip:You can also activate Automatic Speech Recognition with the flip closed.
