Note: When Keyguard is on, calls may be possible to the emergency number programmed into your phone
(e.g. 112 or other official emergency number). Key in the emergency number and press . The number
is displayed only after you have keyed in its last digit.
■ Writing text
You can key in characters by pressing a letter key once for each character (predictive text input) or by
pressing a letter key one or more times for each character (traditional text input).
By pressing a key once for each character (predictive text input)
Predictive text input is a fast way to write, for example, text messages (see page 40) and reminder
notes (see page 57). This input method uses a dictionary that is built into the phone.
Selecting a dictionary for predictive text input
Press Menu in standby mode and select Messages and Write message. Press Options, and select
Dictionary and the desired language.
Turning predictive text input off
Press Menu in standby mode, and select Messages and Write message. Press Options, and select
Dictionary and Dictionary off.
Using predictive text input
To use this input method, check that is shown at the top of the display.
1. Write the desired word by pressing the appropriate key once for each letter.
