Activating a profile
1. Select the profile that you want to use. For example, select the Silent profile if you want to turn off
all the phone tones.
Some of the profiles can be replaced with profiles that you may receive, for example, from your
service provider. For availability and compatibility, contact your service provider or other profile
provider.
2. Select Activate.
To quickly activate a profile in standby mode or during a call: Press quickly, scroll to the
desired profile and press OK.
Changing the settings of a profile
1. Select the profile whose settings you want to change.
2. Select Personalise.
3. Select one of the following settings and change it to your liking.
• Ringing tone: You can select the tone that rings when you receive a call.
• Download tone: You can download new ringing tones from the WAP service of Club Nokia. This
function is shown only if the WAP service is available in your country.
If the WAP connection fails and an error message such as Check service settings is displayed,
change the active set of connection settings in the Services menu and enter this menu to try the
connection again. See also Downloads (Menu 5) on page 57 and WAP services (Services - Menu

• Ringing volume: You can select the volume level for the ringing tones and message alert tones.
