Messages (Menu 1)
In this menu you can write, read and manage text and picture messages. You can
also listen to voice messages and change message settings.
To access this menu: Press Menu in standby mode and select Messages.
Before you can send text or picture messages, you need to save your message centre number on the
phone, see page 45.
Note: When sending messages via the SMS network service, your phone may display the words Message
sent. This is an indication that the message has been sent by your phone to the message centre number
programmed into your phone. This is not an indication that the message has been received at the
intended destination. For more details about SMS services, check with your service provider.
Writing and sending a text message (Write message)
You can write and send text messages that may contain almost three ordinary text messages (network
service).
Invoicing is based on how many ordinary messages are needed for such a multi-part message.
1. Press Menu in standby mode, and select Messages and Write message.
2. Write the message, see Writing text on page 26. The number of available characters and the
number of the current message part are shown on the top right of the display.
By pressing Options you can access the following functions that help you to write the message: Use
template (see page 44), Insert smiley, Insert word, Insert number, Insert symbol, Dictionary (see
page 26).
3. When the message is complete, press Options for the following functions that you can use for
sending the message: Send, Send to many or Sending profile.
