Automatically obtain IP address and DNS:
Set whether your BlackBerry® device receives a routable IP address, a subnet mask, DNS settings, and a gateway address from the Wi-
Fi® network.
IP Address:
Type the IP address for your device.
Subnet mask:
Type the subnet mask for the wireless access point to which your device should connect.
Primary DNS:
Type the primary DNS to which your device should connect.
Secondary DNS:
Type the secondary DNS to which your device should connect.
Default gateway address:
Type the default gateway IP address to which your device should connect.
Domain suffix:
Type the domain that your device uses to resolve host names into IP addresses.
Set your device to connect to a specific Wi-Fi network
By default, your BlackBerry® device regularly scans for Wi-Fi® networks and automatically connects to the network that has the highest priority
in the Saved Wi-Fi Profiles list. You can choose to scan for and connect to only one of your saved Wi-Fi networks.
1. On the Home screen, click the Manage Connections icon.
2. Click Wi-Fi Options.
3. Select the Enable single-profile scanning check box.
4. Click a Wi-Fi profile.
5. Press the Menu key.
6. Click Save.
