3.2.3 Editor menu setup
The Editor menu sets the parameters of the text editor.
1. Press the [F8] key to display the Setup menu.
2. Press the [2] key to display the Editor Setup menu.

Editor setup menu
3. The illustration above shows the default editor setup settings. To change
settings:
a) Press the [↓] or [↑] key to choose item.
b) Press the [Enter] key to open corresponding options window.
c) Press the [↓] or [↑] key to choose setting.
d) Press the [Enter] key to register setting.
e) Press the [Esc] key twice to return to the standby display.
Text Mode: Choose “Telex” when creating a telex message. Only upper
case alphabet is permitted in telex. Use “ASCII” when
creating an e-mail message. Upper and lower case alphabet
may be used in an e-mail.
Edit Mode: Choose “Insert” (insert character at cursor location) or
“Overwrite” (write over character at cursor location).
Word Wrap: Turns on/off automatic hyphenation at the end of a line.
Line No.: Turns line number display on or off.
Tab Width: Sets horizontal tab width; two, four or eight tabs per line.
Column Width: Choose “69” for Telex or “40 to 80” for ASCII.
Cursor Type: Chooses cursor configuration, “
■“ or underline.
Scroll: Sets how much the screen moves up over the page (Full
Screen or Half Screen) when [PgUp] or [PgDn] key is
operated.
