•Proxy address: (HTTP only) set the proxy server address and port.
Linger Time (Sec.): set a time period (in seconds) after which the network is
disconnected if there has been no new data traffic in that time.
Advanced Settings: allows you to configure some of the IP-specific
information: Static IP, Static DNS, Server information, and Traffic Class.
- Static IP: specify if you want to manually enter an IP address. If you want the IP
address to be automatically assigned by the server, remove the check mark.
- Local phone IP: enter the IP address obtained from the network operator, if you
checked the Static IP option.
- Static DNS: specify if you want to manually enter the Domain Name Server
(DNS) address. If you want the address to be automatically assigned by the
server, remove the check mark.
- Server 1/Server 2: enter the Domain Name Server (DNS) addresses.
- Traffic Class: select the traffic class.
Note: The WAP settings may vary depending on the service provider.
Using Quick Tips
Quick Tips is a new service for AT&T customers, where you can get answers to
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) and tips for using your handset. Access to Quick
Tips is through the Settings Menu.
Options for Quick Tips
The options available for Quick Tips include the following:
Go: allows you to page forward or backward through web pages you have
accessed.
Reload: allows you to refresh/reload the current webpage.
Desktop View/Smart-Fit View: allows you view the website as a computer
desktop format or as the best fit for your handset display.
Page Size: allows you to increase or decrease the page size displayed.
Go to Homepage: allows you to go to the webpage you have set as your
Homepage.
Add to Favorites: allows you to add the Quick Tips page to your list of favorite
webpages.
View Favorites: allows you to view your list of favorite webpages.
Send URL via: allows you to send the webpage URL using either a text message or
a Bluetooth device.
Enter URL: allows you to enter a URL address.
Copy URL to Message: allows you to copy the URL into a text message.
