Making a 10-4 Call by Using ASR
You can place a 10-4 call by using automatic speech recognition
from your 10-4 List. To make a 10-4 call, your phone’s 10-4 mode
must be set to Enable. (See “Setting 10-4 Mode” on page 100 for
details.)
To make a 10-4 call:
1. Press to activate the Command menu.
2. Say “10-4.” (The Command menu of your 10-4 List will display.)
3. Choose from one of the following options:

Contact to place a 10-4 call from the Personal List.
ᮣ
Group to place a 10-4 call from the Personal Groups.
ᮣ
Company Contact to place a 10-4 call from the Company List (if
applicable).
ᮣ
Company Group to place a 10-4 call from the Company Group
List (if applicable).
ᮣ
Dial Number to place a 10-4 call by speaking a number.
ᮣ
Help to activate the Automatic Speech Recognition
instruction for 10-4 calls.
4. Say “Contact,”“Group,”“Company Contact,”“Company Group,” or
“Dial Number.”
5. Say the contact’s name in your 10-4 List or the digits of the
10-4 number. (Wait for the prompt.)
6. Respond to the prompt by saying the name or group name.

Tip: If you say “Contact” or “Dial Number” during step 4 above, you can
say following commands continuously (e.g., “Contact, John Jones” or
“Dial Number, 999-999-9999”).
Tip: To redial the last 10-4 call by using ASR, press and hold on the
side of your phone.
Tip: You can also make a 10-4 call by using ASR with the flip closed.
Press and hold , and follow the voice prompts.
