During installation, the phone checks the integrity of the package to be installed. The
phone shows information about the checks being carried out and you are given options
whether to continue or cancel the installation. Once the phone has checked the integrity
of the software package, the application is installed on your phone.
Removing software
1 To remove a software package, scroll to it and select Options Remove.
2 Press Yes to confirm the removal.
IMPORTANT: If you remove software, you can only re-install it if you have the
original software package or a full backup of the removed software package. If you
remove a software package, you may no longer be able to open documents created
with that software. If another software package depends on the software package
that you removed, the other software package may stop working. Refer to the
documentation of the installed software package for details.
Viewing memory consumption
To open the memory view, move the joystick to the right in the Installer main view.
When you open the Memory view, the phone calculates the amount of free memory for
storing data and installing new software. In the memory view, you can view the memory
consumption of the different data groups: Contacts, Calendar, Documents, Messages, Images,
Applications, Sound files, Mem. in use, Free memory. See Fig. 1, p. 108.
Tip! If memory is getting low, remove some documents. See also p. 118.
