and press the
Select
soft key.
3. Press the key to return to Idle mode and enter the
phone number.
4. Press the Options soft key and select the Save to Address
Book option.
5. Select the number entry type
New
or
Update
.
6. Enter the following information for the New Contact.
•
Name
: allows you to enter a name for the number entered.
•
Phone Number
: assigns the number entered to the Mobile entry.
•
Group
: allows you to assign the contact to a group such as
Business
,
Family
,
Friends
,
Other
, or
Services
.
•
Location
: allows you to assign a location number on your SIM for
the entered number.
7. Press the key to save your new entry.
8. To view available options for this entry, press the Options
soft key:
•
Edit
: allows you to edit the properties of an entry such as: Name,
Number, or Location. Press the key to save your changes.
•
Call
: allows you to call a currently selected entry.
•
Send Message
: allows you to send a text message or a
multimedia message to the selected entry.
•
Delete
: allows you to delete the currently selected address book
entry from a target location.
•
Send Business Card via
: allows you to send your Business Card
via message or Bluetooth to the selected entry.
•More
: allows you to:
–
Assign Speed Dial
: allows you to set the speed dial key for this entry.
–
Copy to FDN Contacts
: allows you to copy the restricted phone
number list to the FDN section of the SIM card.
–
Print via Bluetooth
: allows you send the selected contact entry
information to a Bluetooth compatible printer.
9. Press the key to return to the Idle screen.
Adding Pauses to Contact Numbers
When you call automated systems, you are often required to
enter a password or account number. Instead of manually
entering the numbers each time, you can store the numbers in
your Contacts along with special characters called pauses.
To add a pause to a Contact:
1. In Idle mode, press the Down navigation key.
The Address book displays.
2. Select the desired phone number and press the key.
3. Press the
Options
soft key and select
Edit
.
