Bluetooth
®
is a short-range wireless communications technology capable of
exchanging information over a distance of about 30 feet without requiring a
physical connection.
Unlike infrared, you don't need to line up the devices to beam information with
Bluetooth
®
. If the devices are within a range of one another, you can exchange
information between them, even if they are located in different rooms.
Adding New Devices
1. Press for Menu.
2. Press for Bluetooth.
3. Press for Trusted Devices.
4. Press left soft key for Add New.
5. Select Search.
6. A list of Bluetooth devices is displayed. Highlight a device and
press for Add to list.
To access Bluetooth menus:
1. Press for Menu.
2. Press for Bluetooth.
3. Select one of the following options:
for Enable: Select On or Off to enable or disable Bluetooth
support.
for Visibility: Select Visible for 1min to let other devices
search for your phone; otherwise, select Hidden.
for Device Name: Type in the name of your phone as it will
appear to other Bluetooth devices. See "Entering Text" on page 20.
for Device Info: Displays information about your phone’s
Bluetooth configuration.
for Select Device Type: Displays default device for incoming
and outgoing calls. Select HandsFree or HeadSet.
for Use In-Band Ring: Enable or disable use of in-band ring.
for Voice commands: Enable or disable voice commands.
