Tip: You can adjust the ringer volume in Idle mode (or the earpiece volume during
calls) using the volume key on the side of your phone.
Ringer Type
Different ringer types help you identify incoming calls and messages. With the
Ringer Type options (Menu ), you can assign ringer types to
individual Contacts entries, types of calls, schedules, types of alarms, and types of
messages. Ringer types available for assignment include:
Ring Tones: include a variety of standard ringer types and musical
melodies.
Melodies: includes a variety of short songs.
My Content: includes all the ringtones you have previously downloaded.
My MMS Content: includes MMS content you have previously downloaded.
Voice Calls
You can select a different ringer type for each type of received call: those with
Caller ID, no Caller ID, and calls while roaming:
To assign unique ringer types to different types of calls:
1. Press for Menu.
2. Press for Settings.
3. Press for Sounds.
4. Press for Ringer Type.
5. Press for Voice Calls.
6. Press for With Caller ID or for No Caller ID.
7. Press the navigation key up or down to select Ring Tones, Melodies,
My Content, or My MMS Content.
8. Press the navigation key up or down to select desired ringer.
9. Press to save and exit.
Roam Ringer
You can set your phone to provide a normal or a distinctive ringer type when
roaming.
