Device Basics
Contacts – Displays the Contacts tab listing
current contacts, synced from either your
Google or Outlook account (page 86). Contacts
can only be synced to a managed account
(page 74).
Email – Provides access to both your Outlook
(Exchange Server-based) work email and
Internet email accounts (such as Google, MSN
Live, etc., page 159).
Gallery – Displays a Gallery of photos and
videos stored on the microSD card (page 121).
Gmail – Provides access to your Gmail account
(page 154).
Google Search – Provides an onscreen Internet
search engine powered by Google™.
Hookt – Provides a mobile community across
multiple platforms. Services include Email, IM,
Picture profiles, and public and private
messaging.
Latitude – Lets you see your friends' locations
and share yours with them. The application also
lets you See your friends' locations on a map or
in a list.
Application Icons
Layar – A reality browser that uses the phone’s
camera, compass, and GPS data to identify your
location and then display it real time.
Maps – Launches Google Maps for mobile that
helps you find local businesses, locate friends,
view maps and get driving directions

Market – Browse and search for applications on
Android Market (page 163).
Messaging – Provides access to your text
messaging application (SMS) (page 134).
Music – Launches the built-in Music Player
(page 167).
My Files – Lets you view supported image files
and text files on your microSD card (page 101).
Navigation – Launches a built-in GPS feature,
giving you access to a number of location-
based services (page 177).
News & Weather – Launches a Web-based news
and weather feed based on your current
location.
